Hi, I'm Tamar. This is my third year serving on the Chabad board. In so many ways, this community has shaped me more than I can put into words. I'm so grateful for the people, the growth, and the opportunity to help strengthen our Jewish community. Chabad is a space that has shaped who I am and strengthened my connection to my Jewish Identity. I love being part of this community that supports, uplifts, and stands proud together. We always say Roll Tide with Jewish Pride—but this year, we’re truly living it and wearing it proudly.

 I am an honors Sophomore Finance student originally from Marietta, Georgia. I love Hashem, my girlfriend, and fishing. I joined the Chabad Board because I know I can make a meaningful change on the community here at Alabama. 

My name is Jacob Switt, and I am from Naperville, Illinois! I am a Political Science major, and some hobbies of mine are performing, traveling , and going out with friends. Roll Tide! 

My name is Alexandra Butkevich, and I am a sophomore studying political science and psychology on the pre-law track. I am from New York, and I am a first generation US citizen; my parents are from the former Soviet Union. I'm proud of my Jewish heritage, and I'm excited to represent Chabad at Bama for a second year.

Hi, I am Sammy Shepard and I am from freehold New Jersey! I am a freshman studying Elementary education. I am so excited to join Chabad board and help plan all the fun events Chabad will have this year! 

My name is Benjamin Maier and I am from Memphis, Tennessee. I am a freshman Mechanical Engineering major. I am excited to be a part of Chabad board this year and am looking forward to helping our community grow and thrive !  

My name is Ethan Melenevsky, and I’m a freshman from Alabama. My family is
originally from Russia, but I’m proud to be a first-generation American. I’m a member of the UA Mock Trial Association, and I’m studying Finance and Economics with a minor in Spanish. Chabad has deepened my connection to Judaism and been a major part of my life here, so I’m excited to be a part of its mission.

Hi! My name is Emma Schulman, and I’m from New Jersey, majoring in political science. It means so much to me to be a part of the Chabad and such a welcoming and supportive community while getting involved and celebrating together. 

Hi! My name is Avery Mish, I'm from South Florida and I'm a Freshman here at the University of Alabama! Chabad has been a huge part of my life since I was born, so I feel so lucky to be a part of one here. I am so excited to be a board member this year and can't wait to see where this position takes me. 

My name is Max Ingber and I'm a Long Island, New York native and an accounting student at the University of Alabama, Culverhouse College of Business. I am an active member of Alpha Epsilon Pi, a Jewish fraternity that emphasizes brotherhood, leadership, and community service, reflecting my strong connection to my Jewish identity. I compete on the University of Alabama Equestrian Team and have several years of experience working with and riding horses. I also enjoy golf, intramural sports and am involved in volunteer work supporting charitable organizations. I am proud of my Long Island roots and Alabama school spirit, and I bring discipline and teamwork to both academics and campus life.

I'm Joey Bashker, and I am an honors student studying computer engineering.  I am from Long Island, New York, and the jewish community has been a big part of my life both back home and at college.  I'm thrilled to be on the chabad board to help grow and strengthen the Jewish community at Alabama.  I look forward to helping give current and new jewish students a second home at Chabad!
