Chabad Executive Board Application

Our mission is:
-To develop an understanding of Judaism among current and prospective members
-To provide them with a connection to further the development of the Jewish community at The University of Alabama
-To engage in discussions that affect the greater Jewish community.
-To provide career-building opportunities through a culture invested in success both as a professional, undergraduate, and in one’s Jewish involvement in any community.
-To foster a community geared towards developing individuals as community members, as well as creating a place for students to truly express their Jewish identity.

 

Board Structure:
The Board is made up of an Executive Council and multiple committees.

Requirements include but are not limited to the folllowing:

-Meeting biweekly 
-Having open and continuous conversations with fellow board members
-Bringing organization-relevant ideas you have to meetings

-Overseeing your committees and assisting each member in his/her job
-Collaborating with fellow board members for joint events
-Working with the Board to set up a marketing plan for each event
-Keeping records of every step of the planning process for events to assist in transitions for the next Board
