As a parent, you probably have mixed feelings sending your child away to a huge college and into a new environment, away from the comforts and warmth of home.

 

This is where Chabad is here for you.

 

Chabad at Bama is a growing and vibrant home-away-from-home for the Jewish students here in Tuscaloosa. We are here for them (and for you!) for anything they might need.

 

Our goal is to create a sense of Jewish pride and community by providing social programming, holiday events, home-style Shabbat dinners and lunches, volunteering and educational opportunities, and many more exciting happenings. More so, we are here just to be a friend and support in any situation.

We are very excited that your child is here, and we are looking forward to an amazing year together. Please reach out if you need anything, or just to say hi and introduce yourself. We’d love to meet you in person as well, on your next trip to Tuscaloosa.

FINALS AND HOLIDAY CARE PACKAGES

We give parents an opportunity to reach out to their students by sending a care package of Jewish comfort food during finals time, or a holiday gift package before Rosh Hashanah and Purim.

BIRTHRIGHT ISRAEL 
Chabad leads free trips to Israel each winter and summer break. Registration for birthright is very competitive, so encourage your son or daughter to pre-register now! Visit our birthright page for more information.
